Habtat For Humanity - Be part of a house build

Today, I fly out to Raleigh, North Carolina to be a spokesperson for Habitat for Humanity on behalf of the DIY Network. The DIY Network is in partnership with this organization. This will be my 5th event for Habitat and I love it!
Habitat for Humanity is a great organization. Check out their website www.habitat.org
I fully recommend getting yourself involved with their projects. You will meet and work along side some great people. This is a great opportunity to get you in the thick of it (building a project) and learn the tricks of the trades. You may even run into Jimmy Carter.
However the biggest reward is helping someone out less fortunate than you.
Chat soon.
Cheers

Hey Karl I love watching your show and I have learned alot, but one thing I have noticed when you have a project when you are doing trim and there is alot of angle cuts you dont go into detail on what angles you use. I love working with wood but when it comes to doing angle cuts I get stuck alot of the times. I wood like to learn more about it, any help would greatly be appeciated

Thanks for your time

I don't know exactly to whom I should be addressing this to so this is a start of a search for help in making my life secure for ever. I am a domestic violence victim. The state of Florida had funds to help me relocate to a safe place if I could find something that I could afford. When I finally found a wonderful answer to my prayers the state had run out of funds. I'm disabled and my only income is SSDI ($600). Here is my problem. I have finally found a wonderful cabin that I can get for about $500 and to move it Hunt's House Movers charges $5/square foot. I have a friend that is a licensed electrican. So, for approx. $5000 I can have a t&g paneled beautiful cabin that no one can ever take away from me and I already live in a mobile home (holes in the floor, I have had two rattle snakes IN THE HOUSE in the past 3 months.) The property is 7 1/2 acres for $100 per month. What I need is to get in touch with someone that can point me in the right direction to maybe find funds to get this cabin moved. The developer is getting ready to bulldose the cabin getting ready to build on the sight. Can someone please help me so I can sleep at night without thinking I'm in danger anymore.

I was just exploring your website and I found that DIY and Habitat have partnered up. What a perfect match! Now I just need
to go help out. To give hope to a person future, as long as learning new diy skills seems like a great way to spend my days off of work.

Cheers!
