Burning Knitster Questions...
Hi everyone...
This is Karen...one of Vickie's knitting partners in crime. She's busy answering questions throughout the posts on the blog, but some questions keep repeating, so I'll try to answer some here.
Many of you have asked about where to send squares - and also for some tips about how to knit certain stitches.
There's all kinds of info on the Knitty Gritty page - just go there and look around - you'll see videos you can watch and learn from...and the address to send the squares is on the pattern page here on diynetwork.com - but since you are knitting AND blogging I'll put it here. (This is also great if you can't get DIY - you can see some videos here.)

Shipping Address (for knit and crochet squares):
Warm Up America! Foundation
Department DIY Network
2500 Lowell Rd.
Ranlo, NC 28054
This is a year long initiative for DIY Network - so you can send in squares at your leisure. Warm Up America says it takes 49 squares to make a quilt, so KNIT ON!
Some of you have also asked why you can't see the Knit In Marathon on HGTV. The Knit In is exclusive to DIY Network. Don't miss any more Knitty Gritty! If you don't get DIY in your area, call your local cable or satellite provider. Or you can make it easy and click here.

We appreciate the great response we've gotten so far from the knitters and crocheters out there. You guys are AWESOME!!!

I'm loving the marathon. Truthfully, I could watch 24/7 but not get anything else done. :) I do have a question: Is DIY planning to have the Knitty Gritty shows put on DVD in a series or volume format? Or did I totally miss the boat and they've already done it? I would love to have a set of the shows to have to not only watch but review the helpful tips!

Hi, Karen, thanks for helping Vicki out! How do we use the TrackBack URL? And, why do I get a message each time I post a comment that it awaits approval from the owner of the blog? Is there a way to overcome that?

Quick question....
Regarding the pattern for Skinny scarf -- designed by Candi Jensen.
Do you slip the stitch purlwise in the pattern stitch as follows: *p1, move yarn to the back and slip the next st, move yarn to the front*
Do you slip the stitch knitwise when the instruction says: *K1, move yarn to the front and slip the next st, move yarn to the back* repeat between *

Hey Michelle...
The track back, i'm not sure about. I'm not so much a techie. I think that link would bring you back to this page.
As far as approval, all comments have to be approved. It usually just takes a minute or so for them to be approved and to be posted.
Thanks for blogging...and knitting!

I've enjoyed the knit-in but have to say its been a bit of a disappointment...I expected it to be a bit more "live" not just collections of people's postings with "hourly" FAQ answers and so many threads going at one time. I hope in the future you'll consider a different format if you do it again. I've found that I've totally been able to keep up by just checking a couple of times today...
Thanks for the idea...I'm sure next year it will be bigger, better, faster stronger!

Michelle -
Nan and Vickie say you have the right idea. (I'm a knitting novice, so I had to wait to hear the expert's opinions...!)
Thanks for blogging and KNIT ON!
