Knits for a Night Out--Airing Now
The beautiful Elisabeth Marmugi is the guest on this one. You may recognize her from all of the Needful Yarns ads. She's the face and co-owner of the company. Stay tuned for the amazing crocheted wedding dress in the fashion show at the end of the episode!
Here's a fun Needful Yarn fact: This spring they're coming out with a brand new yarn that has ceramic in it which they say will bring down your body temperature by 10 degrees. As someone who lives in Austin (where it's 100 degrees several months of the year), I can totally appreciate that!

AS "someone who lives in Austin", I hope you're keeping an eye on the weather you're headed into next weekend in St Paul. We're in Iowa, and our high today was 1. Break out those woolie knits! :-)

I am currently working with some really thick and fuzzy yarn. I am making blocks for the charity quilt and a warm scarf for myself. The problem I am having with it is it keeps wanting to split! Do you have any suggestions on how to deal with this problem? Thanks for any and all of your help. And of course KNIT ON!!!!!!!!!!!!

a yarn with ceramic? Sounds very interesting. I have not ever knit with their yarns.
Speaking of yarns, are there certain brands or fibers you prefer over others?

Iris--Holy majoly. I don't really even own any woolie knits! :-)

OUCH! I hope someone at least meets your plane with a woolie hat/scarf/mitten set!
Wish I could join you next weekend, but I don't drive distances in these temperatures. Ever heading to Des Moines/Iowa?

Hey Vickie! This is Vada from central Illinois, and I'm traveling over three hours to meet you at the Chicago book signing! I'm very excited to meet you! It's freezing here, this morning it was a total of -30 degrees, so it was about -40 degrees, at one point in Chicago!

Would love to see her. Any idea what month she is scheduled to be in New York?

Hi Vickie,
I know you hear this all the time. I love your show! I learned to knit when I was nine. I hadn't picked up needles in years and years. Last year, I saw your show for the first time and I've been hooked ever since. I knit every day. I taught my daughter to knit and I'm working on my son. I had to promise him a bike if he learns to make a hat and scarf. Boys!! Thanks for the online video tutorials. They are great. I knitted a cabled scarf using the video as a guide.
