I'm back! .... and information about pen/monitor tablets
Greetings to everyone! I must apologize to you for being away from my blog for so long but I do have a really good excuse ☺ I was teaching digital camera basics and Photoshop onboard a cruise ship in Europe for almost a month. When I wasn’t teaching I was capturing images in many beautiful ports – as you might imagine, I was very busy and had a blast but now I’m home and getting back to business. Stay tuned for more posts with images and tips for various picture-taking scenarios. Meanwhile, I want to answer a few questions that many people had about the table-top pen monitor/tablet I was using on a few of the shows.

On the B&W Photo Restoration show (DWTP-209) I used a Wacom “Intuos” tablet, here’s a link:
Intuos

On many of the other shows I was using a Wacom “Cintiq” monitor/pen display, here’s a link for that too:

I really like working with both of them. Your decision would depend on how much you want to spend, the size of tablet that's right for your needs and whether you want the ability to use the pen tool ON the screen (Cintiq). The smaller tablets are very affordable and the Wacom website is informative. Many photography-oriented places carry them now so you can get a feel for how they work, hands on.
